Dear Hungarian Consulate, I have a question regarding my visa application. My family (4 hungarian people) and I were supposed to travel home from Vietnam yesterday, but our flight to Dubai was canceled due to the Iranian war. We booked new tickets yesterday with great difficulty for March 6th, which will be on the Ho Chi Minh - Kuala Lumpur - Karachi (China Airlines) and Karachi - Istanbul - Budapest (or Munich, since we will be separated in Istanbul - Pegasus Airlines). Since we changed airlines in Karachi (China ==> Pegasus), we have to pick up our luggage and check it in again, which, as far as I understand, means that we have to enter the country. This means that we need to apply for a visa in order to pick up our luggage and continue our journey. My question regarding this is: - Do I understand correctly that we need to apply for a visa in this case? - If so, is there an option for Hungarian citizens to arrange this on the spot at Jinnah Airport? I'm afraid that if I start the visa application online now, I doubt it will arrive by the evening of March 6th, when we arrive to Karachi.
