Dear Representative swedish embassy team My name is Ahmadzia Khairkha, a citizen of Afghanistan, and I am writing to you on behalf of my orphaned siblings and myself. We are a family that has endured ongoing threats, displacement, and deep personal loss due to our background and the serious danger we continue to face. I respectfully request your kind attention and any form of humanitarian assistance or protection that may be possible through your office or network. We are a well-rooted family that has lived permanently in Afghanistan for more than 70 years. Our suffering began due to my late father’s role as a respected and prominent commander, widely known in our region as a great leader against extremist groups. He fought for more than two decades against the Taliban and other militant organizations, and he also cooperated with several foreign entities in defense of peace and national security. Tragically, he was martyred in battle two years ago. During it, the Taliban repeatedly targeted our family, attempting to take us hostage in order to stop his mission. After his martyrdom, the threats intensified. One year ago, we lost our beloved mother to cancer—an illness worsened by severe psychological trauma and grief. Since then, I have taken full responsibility for protecting and raising my younger siblings. Despite the loss of both parents, we remain committed to education, peaceful values, and building a dignified life. Two of my brothers hold university degrees, and we all share the dream of rebuilding our lives in safety, stability, and peace. After fleeing Afghanistan, we initially sought temporary refuge in Iran. Sadly, we discovered that Taliban intelligence had identified our location and was attempting to eliminate the rest of our family. Fearing for our lives, we escaped once again—this time to Tajikistan, where we now live in constant fear of deportation and without access to long-term protection or legal status. The Taliban has confiscated our family’s home and properties, and we hold documented evidence of these actions, along with records of direct threats and persecution. Several of our relatives who remained in Afghanistan have been killed due to their connection to us. Over the past few years, we have reached out to numerous humanitarian organizations and submitted multiple appeals and documents. Unfortunately, we have not received any meaningful response or concrete support. I am now turning to your esteemed office with a sincere and urgent plea: If there is any way—through direct protection, relocation assistance, referral, or connection to other partners—we would be profoundly grateful. We are ready to provide all necessary documentation and information. In view of the recent challenges in the policies of the Government of Tajikistan towards refugees living outside central cities, and the risk of their deportation to Afghanistan, I have decided not to relocate my family to areas outside the capital. This is because, if we are returned, the Taliban would undoubtedly kill us. At present, we hold a one-year visa and reside in the center of Tajikistan. The situation of my family is extremely sensitive and critical, and your organization is the only one I trust and feel confident in sharing our circumstances with. Previously, during the two years following our escape from Afghanistan, we lived for a period in Iran and made numerous attempts to contact and register with the Swedish office there. Unfortunately, despite repeated follow-ups, we received no response. Considering that the Swedish embassy is one of the active agencies in Tajikistan, I now request that you carefully review the documents and evidence I will provide below, and take immediate action to register and assess my family’s case. This matter is of utmost importance to us, and any delay could endanger our lives. I sincerely thank you in advance for your cooperation and attention, and I look forward to your reply.
